Is there power in Louise Hay affirmations and her positive thinking philosophy?  Answered simply… Yes!

Let me give you an example of how positive thinking can affect your life.  Have you ever experienced a day when you're not feeling well?  Perhaps you didn't get a good nights sleep.  Maybe you felt like you were coming down with a cold or your feet hurt after a long day at work.  All you wanted to do was go home, crawl into bed, and pull the covers up around you and sleep.  Once home, the phone rings and you're told some fabulous and exciting news that makes you want to cheer, celebrate and jump for joy.  You can't contain yourself!  You call all your family and friends to tell them the good news; then you get dressed up and head out the door to go "par-tay.  You are on cloud nine!  Feeling fantastic and on top of the world.

Where did being tired go?  Where did "coming down with a cold" go?  They just magically disappeared with the arrival of good news.  You ended up dancing the night away on those same feet that hurt so bad just a few hours ago.  What happened?  Positive thinking and positive feelings are what happened.

Positive thinking and feelings can happen unexpectedly just as I've described in the above scenario and if you want, you can patiently wait for positive situations to simply show up.  On the other hand, if you'd rather not wait around for good things to randomly happen to you, you can take charge and "manufacture" positive thinking by your own power of intention to create positive thought.  And, repeating positive affirmations is one of the best ways to start training the mind to focus on the positive instead of the negative.

Louise Hay is a pioneer in the art of positive thought and affirmations.  She has set the standards for many self-help teachers and "Inspirationalists" and has helped countless individuals heal their mind, their body and spirit.

Louise Hay has authored 23 books, 2 children's books, 10 inspirational and affirmation card decks, 23 audio CDs and a movie about her amazing journey through life.  However, she is most famous and will always be best known for her first book titled "You Can Heal Your Life".

This little book of healing affirmations, first published in 1984, launched Louise's career into helping others heal their life.  It is still on the New York Time's bestseller list.

Whether you use Louise's books or create your own positive affirmations, intentionally repeating them will eventually condition you to look on the bright side of things.  Affirmations offer a creative and healing way out of negative thinking especially when unpleasant situation occur.  Repeating something as simple as "Everyday and in everyway, I am getting better and better" can have a profound impact on how we eventually feel.  And, taking a proactive approach to a bad situation is always better than being a victim of it.

If you do decide to create your own affirmations, word them carefully.  For the affirmation to be effective, write it in the present tense, making it positive, personal and specific.  Then repeat this carefully formatted affirmation silently or aloud to yourself, or you can even write it down and read it often throughout the days ahead.

Can Louise Hay affirmations and self-help books help you?  Absolutely!

Her training and expertise with the use of healing affirmations can help you plant the mental seeds for creating new and positive experiences in your life.
